Gorgeous Got A Gun won the Sonicbids-powered Universal Pictures contest called Indie Rock vs. the World in the DVD release. The contest was a nationwide Internet based battle of the bands with over 1,000 entrants. Gorgeous Got a Gun was selected for the top eight bands to compete in the battle of bands. They had to shoot a music video to go along with the movie. Fans voted their favorite video to go into the next round. Week after week Gorgeous Got a Gun stood their ground, rallied their support and came out the winner with an opportunity to play at Comic Con on July 23 and 24 in San Diego, CA and have their music video in the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World DVD.
